Whether changing the V-belt, installing the sport vario or simply replacing worn vario pulleys - the fact is, the pulley has to come down. Since not everyone has an impact wrench and this is not exactly gentle to the crankshaft stump, we recommend the use of the special SIP holding tool Variomatik.

The holding tool is needed for loosening and fixing the Vario nut. To do this, the tool is placed on the pulley with the two retaining lugs, screwed tight to the engine housing by means of the bushing and the screw. Now you can easily loosen / tighten the nut with a ratchet or torque wrench. The tool should not be missing in any workshop, but also on tours it is recommended to always have the holding tool. Anyone who has ever tried in the pampas to change his torn V-belt without a holding tool will know how important the small holding tool can be for the Vario.
