The 3P side mounting system was developed specifically for the SH23, SH35, SH36 and SH38 side cases, as well as the Terra TR30 and TR40 side bags. During the development phase, safety was the primary focus, alongside aesthetic considerations.
- Integrated design: The 3P mounting system adapts perfectly to the contours of the vehicle. The typical right-angled frame has been reduced to a single arm, which supports the three points (3P) required for mounting the panniers.
- Position: Both the volume of the case and the angle of the 3P system have been designed to shift the weight of the luggage as close as possible to the centre of the motorbike. This ensures greater safety and stability when riding with a full load.
- Aerodynamics: The use of three mounting points provides both stability and flexibility. This is achieved through a slight oscillation of the pannier. This allows air to circulate freely around the pannier, thereby avoiding the so-called ‘angle effect’ typical of a flat, rigid pannier. Here too, this results in improved safety and stability whilst riding.
- Patent pending: The uniqueness and technical innovation of the 3P system have enabled SHAD to patent it. This makes SHAD the sole manufacturer able to offer this mounting system.

The SH35 side cases are aerodynamic and have a higher load capacity than most aluminum cases. The SH35 side case can hold a jet helmet and is both sturdy and lightweight thanks to its double-wall frame, which also ensures a watertight seal.
