The SIP speedometer / tachometer replaces the standard very sparsely equipped speedometer with a real multifunctional device. The speedometer impresses with its large analog display for speed (up to 160kmh) and rpm (up to 16,000 rpm). Accordingly, the speedometer needle displays either RPM or speed. The lower digital display can optionally show 18 functions. These can be switched over at the push of a button. In addition to the standard functions such as analog / digital speed display, trip & total kilometers, temperature, the speedometer has an analog & digital tachometer, digital fuel and temperature display, accelerometer for distance and speed measurement, average speed and many other features (see function list). The backlight can be selected from eight different colors. The brightness can also be regulated separately. Before each restart, the instrument performs a complete self-test. The speed pickup is done as original via the speed pickup integrated in the wiring harness or can be transmitted via a digital speed sensor. The appropriate sensors are available as accessories. A cable set for connection to the vehicle is included. This is connected between the speedometer and the wiring harness. Everything without soldering, simple and uncomplicated. Setting and switching between functions is done via the original "Mode" button on the vehicle.

for Vespa GTS/GTS Super 125-300cc ('14-) Since the model series from 2014, where PIAGGIO has installed new speedometers, the Vespa GTS no longer has the water temperature indicator in the display as standard, only the warning light signals the overheating of the engine. The cable set offers in combination with the SIP digital speedometer / tachometer the option on the GTS Facelift models from 2014 to display the water temperature display (bar display on the left in the display). The connection to the speedometer is made at the connector "TEMP B", the cable must then be led through the frame to be connected to the temperature sensor of the engine. The green connector of the temperature sensor is equipped with two pinouts but only two are used. The two remaining slots are equipped with green placeholder pins, these must be pulled with needle nose pliers to insert the connectors of the SIP cable set there. The red cable must be connected to pin no. 2, the black cable to pin no. 4. ATTENTION: Work on the speedometer such as replacing the speedometer glass, repairs etc. may only be carried out by SIP Scootershop GmbH or specialist workshops. Unauthorized modifications (e.g. opening the speedometer) will void the warranty.
for Vespa GTS/GTS Super 125-300cc FL ('14-) Riders of the GTS Facelift models (from 2014) are reluctant to even look at the speedometer while riding their sweetheart - the reason for this is the original chrome frame which surrounds the cockpit instrument. For a more discreet and sporty look, SIP offers the decorative frame of the speedometer made of synthetic material, in glossy black or matte black. This is just like the original simply glued to the steering head fairing and held at the bottom by additional clips. When mounting the new speedometer frame, make sure that the handlebar fairing is free of dirt and adhesive residue.
