The touring windshield is usually longer and sometimes wider than the original windshield in order to better protect the rider from wind and weather. Depending on the angle of the windshield, the rear end of some models is also tilted upwards across the entire width as a wind deflector. This makes riding more relaxed, even on longer tours.
